Manual Handling Training Course

(2 hours)

This Training Course is designed to identify some of the areas of risk when manually handling. We look at the mechanics of the body and the correct methods of lifting and carrying objects. Demonstration is combined with a practical hands-on approach.

The course comprises:

• Gaining awareness of devices which assist in lifting or carrying
• Understanding the process of reducing risks in the workplace
• Gaining an understanding of how the back works
• Understanding the correct methods to reduce risk of injury when lifting and carrying
